Both Choices are Bad

I'm am very busy this week so I will make it short. Every where I turn all I here is how great President Bush is or how great Senator Kerry is. My opinion is the are both poor choices.
All the Right has to say is how the President is going to win the war on terror, keep taxes low, and is the answer to all our problems. I listened to his acceptance speech at the Repulican Natonal Convention and was pulling my hair out. Plan after plan after paln, spend spend spend is all I heard coming out of his mouth. Where is all the money going to come from? He says it is in his planned budget for the next 4 years. Lets use our brain that was given to us and try to figure this one out. We don't have a balanced budget currently, we are still passing bills that cost money that we do not have, over a dozen new bills expected, no programs expected to be cut or done away with with any significance that I know of ( if I am wrong please correct me ), and how are we going to pay for all of this? Oh ya, the tax cuts. Lets get real here. The tax cuts aren't helping now so how will they help next year? NO. It is called a defecit and will continue to get begger at the rate we are going.
I will not not go into the War on Terror since that would take page after page, and all that will happen is that you will not listen to me and I will get a migrain. Maybe another time on that subject.
The gay marriage admendment is still upsetting me, and not just because it has to do with human rights but with state's rights. Look, I sleep just fine if Barry and Larry or Susan and Phillis wish to be married. My marriage to my wife is still sacred. We are still very happy. Last time I checked we are the land of oppertunity and freedom. I see nothing morally wrong with gay marriage since it does not effect my marriage. I choose what is moral in my life not my government. On the state's rights section of the argument, on my marriage certificate it does not say United States it says State of California. It is the citizens of the state who decide who can or cannot get married. If we take this right away form the state's then what is next?
Now it is Senator Kerry's turn. OK Mr. Senator what is it? For or against. What do you actually stand for? Are you for the war or against it? Do you have SUV's or not? You say you want jobs to stay in the United States, yet your wife's company outsources most of hers. You want to tax those who make over $2000,000 a year, yet what about those who are already rich. You say you are going to cut the loop holes, even on youself? Or are you? I don't know anymore you flip and flop so much. Well at least I know you will be on my side no matter what, since you have been on every side there is. I thank Sen. Kerry for his service though, I will not attempt to take away from a man who served his country. I will however hold you responsible for your actions after the Vietnam War. You made all the veterens look guilty of war crimes that you say you also committed, and over 30 years later you wish to run on that record. Which is it, for or against.
I will not condem a person on what they did 30 years ago since people change. If we are to condem Sen. Kerry than we must also condem Pres. Bush.
All I want is a man of today. Someone who will lead this country to greatness. Niether one of these candidates show me anything. I will not even watch news about the Presidential election since all I here is smere after smere. I'm sick of it! These men have divided this country trying to gain power.
These men have forgot the Office of the Presidency belongs to the people of the United States, not them.
If you wonder how I am going to vote, I'll tell you. I am a Republican, yet I am going to cross party lines. Pres. Bush is not a Republican. I don't know what he is but it isn't a Republican. A wise friend of mine said, "If the Devil were to run against Pres. Bush, I'd vote for the Devil." Do not think for one minute I want to vote for Sen. Kerry, for I don't, but I feel I have no choice.
To sum it all up, Pres. Bush and Sen. Kerry you are not statesmen you are politicians. And that is one thing that is wrong with the United States. We have forgotten that those offices are not for politicians, they are for us.
But, just one man's opinion.

This is excellent. Well written and straight to the heart of what is wrong not only in America but in almost every western democracy on this planet.
